Really get shit done

Many times we spend much more time searching for the best tools to do something than actually doing the thing.\

We geeks fall in this trap. We even try to make our own tools for everything!

The most famous tool everyone uses, is a todo list. And I have always managed to change how I manage mine. This is maybe due to the fact that todo list apps are popping everywhere making things even more complicated!

Recently I began using Gina Trapani’s todo.txt as my todo list and I think it is the best yet.

Here is how you add a task from command line:

$ todotxt add "(A) 2013-11-17 Buy coffee @groceries +home due:2013-11-19"
     |          |        |    [--------]      |        |       |
     |      priority     |         |          |       tag      |
  command date actual task | due date
                      (can be            category/list
                   autogenerated)

priorities, dates and all that stuff are totally optional and you are not obligated to use them.

Fast, simple and fully customizable.

And puting it in a Dropbox folder, it syncs with everything with some Android apps to support it. I use Simpletask but there are also other choises.

Make your task managing simple and spend time on things that matter!
